The last year or so since this website has gone up has been a busy time in breeding for improved Cashmere production. In recent times we saw the export of Bathampton Genetics to Nepal, New Zealand, South Africa and the USA. Since the ACGA Merrit launch a few years ago, I’m proud to say that we are the only flock in the country that is made up 100% by ‘Grade A’ Merrrit Cashmeres. We also have the most animals on the ACGA Merrrit trait leader list of any herd in Australia. This is a very important achievement as the Merrrit grading is all done based on objective performance.
